Hailing from Upstate NY, Falconeers - according to a recent interview with lead singer Christopher Squier - is a “…band on a Rock and Roll evangelical mission. "
Says Chris, “We asked ourselves - What if we could take the best things we love about our Classic Rock heroes, our years of living on the stage, our incredible longtime friendship, and our absolute love for the genre, mix all of those ingredients together and turn it into something new and exciting? Something that pays tribute to who we are and where we're from, but also takes us farther down that path? We think there's still lots of great things yet to see and experience on that road. ”
"We're guys “of a certain age," says Chris, "and we may not be for everybody, but we feel that there are a lot of us out there that hold this kind of music sacred as the soundtrack of our generation. We want to continue to be a part of that and drive it forward, and we think it shows in our songs. We write a lot about where we are now in our lives. We still feel that the best is yet to come! ”
And so, Falconeers were born. Though highs and lows, victories and tragedies, the band consisting of Steve Bell on drums, Nathan Gavacs on keyboards, Tom Deinzer on rhythm guitar, Mike Mietlicki on bass, and Christopher on lead guitar and vocals continue to write the best damn music they can. So much so, it resulted in a double album.
Falconeers' debut album, "Volume One," is a testament to their musical prowess and a sonic journey through the past, present, and future of rock.
